Dear OTA Members,
Please note that the OTA is hosting a Referee Seminar on Sunday,
November 8-9 2008. At 8:00 am, the P3, P2 & P1 Seminar
will run simultaneously and will serve as a General Refresher
for current P2 and P1 Referees. Please note that P3 applicants
will be dismissed at noon, and P2
and P1 will continue for the remainder of the day. P1 course
continues 9:00 am the following morning.
The P3 Seminar (Third Class Referee) is aimed for anyone that
wishes to learn the basic rules in Taekwondo competition.
This is a certifiable entry level to those who wish to officiate
at local Taekwondo events. The P2 Seminar (Second Class Referee)
is an upgrade, for current P3's in pursuit of refereeing at
Provincial Events. The P1 Seminar (First Class Referee) develops
current P2's for Officiating National Events and beyond. The
training will also prepare individuals to administer referees,
chairing of events, or delivery of Referee training courses.
All current referees are invited to refresh, and regroup before
2009. We will use this time for roundtable discussions, and
as a chance to mentor the newer officials. We will dedicate
a portion of the seminar to operation of the RingMaster Electronic
Scoring System, and utilizing the newest DVD's for reference
points.
Please send me an email to confirm your attendance, or for
any inquiries you may have to rommel.cabanatan@gmail.com.
