As part of the Technical Committee initiative, the Ontario Taekwondo Association (O.T.A.) is pleased to inform O.T.A. Coaches the O.T.A. is now an affiliate partner of the CAO (Coaches of Ontario).

 

The O.T.A. and CAO recognize coaches play a vital role in the development of athletes at all levels. It is critical that coaches have access to resources and tools to help them develop their programs for the season. CAO is the Provincial association for coaches in Ontario that provides a central coordinating body that provides a consolidated voice for coaches throughout the Province. CAO accomplish this by enabling coaches to communicate with one another and accessing knowledge to best practices in coaching.

 

Here are some of the benefits for coaches who become members of the CAO:

  • Communication in the form of a monthly electronic newsletter with news and updates on coaching related topics

  • Increased access to education & development by hosting annual conferences, workshops, networking opportunities throughout the year

  • Representation of the collective interests of coaches and promoting adherence to the ethical code of conduct

  • Preferred Member Rates through CAO's partnership agreements, such as books, hotels, & other future services

  • Access to our coaching Information Resource Center

  • Information about employment opportunities in coaching

  • Voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting

  • A membership wallet card to identify your affiliation with the CAO

Together we can increase learning opportunities for all coaches and ensure that the wider community recognizes, understands, and acknowledges the vital role of the coach in the development of sport at all levels.

 

The annual CAO membership fee is $25.00.

 

Registration Process : Complete CAO Membership application - $25.00

  • Complete OTA Black Belt Membership application (renew/new) - $15.00

  • Issue cheque to Ontario Taekwondo Association

    • $25.00 – if you are a current OTA Black Belt Member

    • $40.00 – if you are registering for both(CAO & OTA)

  • Send application(s) and cheque to the OTA office.
