OTA’s Referee Committee is pleased to announce TWO Referee Seminars in May…

 *These seminars meet the process to Certification, Upgrades, or NCCP requirement.

•Participant: Minimum 13 years old, 2nd gup and current  OTA Member.
•Registration Fee: $60 *includes GST
•Bring: Dobuk, Pen/pencil, notebook, lunch.

Prior to the seminar all participants are required to carefully study the WTF Sparring Competition Rules and Interpretation. Proper dobuk and taekwondo shoes is mandatory; sparring equipment is optional.

National Development Poomsae Camp (May 3 -4, 2014)

POOMSAE CAMP– Ontario, May 3 & 4

Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce that there will be a National Development Poomsae Camp held in Ontario on May 3 & 4, 2014.

*This camp meets the mandatory poomsae camp requirement for National Team selection.



  • Development – Colour belt (Blue belt and up, 10 years old and up).
  • High Performance – Competitive poomsae


  • All levels – bring NCCP CC# (AI and DC coaches) *PD credit – see details below.

Coaches Professional Development

Coach Sessions are professional development for coaches. Coaches who register for the camp can participate in the camp can actively participate doing poomsae, or they can observe. Along with the camp training and activities, there will be coach development sessions which will include approximately one hour each day facilitating coach development in the teaching and coaching of poomsae, and addressing coaches needs from a stage-by-stage basis. Focus will be on the practical applications of coaching poomsae, addressing what, how, and when, to coach various poomsae related abilities.

NCCP Maintenance of Certification – PD

All coaches will receive Professional Development points (PD points). All NCCP coaches require PD points for Maintenance of Certification.

OTA Membership Renewals: 2014-2015 Season

The OTA has been diligently finalizing the renewal process for the coming season. You and your club will have insurance coverage as long as you have paid your current fees and submitted your renewal or application form. There is a proposal for an increase in fees to account for Taekwondo Canada membership.

In the meantime, please continue to submit your fees and applications to the OTA office with the current fee amount for clubs of $250 and the new amount of $30 for individual members until further notice. When the new fee schedule is finalized, there will be adjustments to your account.
